Working in photography through the years, I've come to appreciate the extraordinary impact that good photography can have on the individual that looks at it thoughtfully and with a thought-provoking eye.
Since the image is an tacit admission of our human frailty, in this instance to arrest a moment in the attempt to examine, convey an idea, or preserve. Throughout time and through the course of our effort to build civilizations we've tried to find ways to preserve and continually examine and use the ever-flowing moment. Photography is a more recent development in that direction.
What is the future of this when we are looking at the constraints on our abilities through the use of our five senses, as we enter the age in full force of quantum computing? Will photography becomes a quaint relic of the past and what will replace this desire to find a connection with the ontological moment, our moment of being, the here and now?
